Star Kerb has been design by Star Rubber Environmental Ltd to create the
perfect edge for laying wet pour surfacing onto a hard surface. It provides a
firm, vandal resistant edge as well distinct clean finish to the surface. The
exclusive design, makes the kerb virtually impossible to pull up. It has been
tested in the most challenging of play areas.
Star Kerb can be used on new surfaces as well as where rubber surfaces
are in need of refurbishment. The environmental impact of disposing of waste
rubber plus the cost of removing the old rubber surfaces and replacing them
with new, is becoming increasingly expensive. Until recently there has been
little alternative. The Star Kerb now gives an economical and
environmentally friendly solution. The kerb is installed just beyond the old
surface, as shown in the picture below. The old surface is then skimmed with a
new EPDM surface, creating a hard wearing finish in a fraction of the time and
reducing the cost of removing the old rubber surface..
